Game DescriptionLike many classic puzzle games, Blocksum has a simple premise: combine similar-numbered blocks into groups that contain at least that many blocks in them. New blocks can be created by combining smaller blocks. The result is a highly addictive, fast-moving matching game that requires fast mental and physical reflexes. |

The overall presentation of the game works very well as well. It is simple and visually appealing due to it’s steam-lined graphics. The only thing that I can really view somewhat negatively in this game is the repetitive music which can get quite annoying as time goes on. This is of course easily remedied by listening to one’s own music and is an easily forgivable due to the fantastic gameplay and replayability of the game.
The game also goes one step further to flesh out it’s design by providing an online leader board and the ability to view the replays of those that are represented on the leader board. Not that I will ever see the top of this board but it is a fun thing to measure yourself up against none the less.
All in all Blocksum is one of the best freeware or commercial titles that I have ever played. Blocksum holds it’s own impressively compared to it’s source inspiration and in many ways surpasses it. If you are a fan of games that require both quick physical reflexes as well as mental reflexes then do yourself a favor and check out Blocksum. Trust me, you won’t be disappointed.
