Me-tigdb 3 A great little game.
Dive is not a game that will change the world, and it will not revolutionise the industry. What it is, however, is a highly enjoyable and chilled game, sure to charm and relax anyone playing it.

The mechanics are easy to grasp without a manual, and the various sea creatures encountered, while rendered in highly simplified, blocky pixel art, are instantly recognisable.

That being said, Dive is also rather challenging. The player must swim from air bubble to air bubble in order to survive, and unfriendly sea life must be avoided.

All in all, Dive is a fun little game, and an excellent way to kill a few minutes.

Avatar-default 4 retro feel

The gameplay of Dive is rather simple. Dive as deep as you can, avoid hostile creatures, replenish air supply from friendly creatures.

What makes dive special is the atmosphere and feeling which it creates. This game really captures the atmosphere of playing one of those really old arcade games from the early 80ies. This isn’t just because it’s low-res… i cannot really explain what it is. Perhaps its that it is so simple – just the essence of a game idea without anything added to it.

If you liked the nostalgic trip back in time of Crypts of Despair, then you will probably also love this little gem.
