Echoes is an abstract arena shooter, much like Geometry Wars and countless others, and it’s one of the best games of its type. It’s great to relax to (at least if frantic shmups is as relaxing to you as it is to me). I love the music. Worth downloading for the music alone, even though it’s only a single track.
My only complaint is that I dislike how little hits can reduce your weapon from useful to useless, so it’s one of those games where even though you have a significant health bar, getting hit once means you will probably go steeply downhill after that, it’s hard to recover from losing your weapon power-ups.
I also love how the game thanks me for playing when I quit. More games should do that.
