Avatar-default 5 Nervous Disposition
“Not Indicated for Children or Those of a Nervous Disposition” indeed.

Eversion takes the idea of an innocent childish looking platform game and turns it inside out.

Within the game you are presented with the age old goal of “Rescue the Princess”.

As you “Evert” you can find yourself traversing through a cheery world then through a far more sinister place. Each Eversion revealing or hiding obstacles in equal shifts from one mood to another.

With each step to the darker side of the world, the music becomes more intense and the art changes to fit. Soon you may find yourself in a blood red cloudy place with only a heartbeat as the soundtrack. Then within the same world a grassy bright happy place with upbeat music. If bipolar was a game, this would be it.

Controls are solid, though jumping up and down through one tile wide holes proved difficult since you need to be almost on the pixel to fit through. Sometimes a single arrow tap will move you too far to the other side and you find yourself scrambling back and forth over a hole trying to fall through.

Graphics are sharp and classic. the art is fitting for each ‘level’ within the worlds and the music adds to the atmosphere. A perfect combination rarely seen even in AAA titles.
