Hakaiman is superb. You’re a commando armed with nothing but a gun, some grenades, and your own two fists. You sneak around the levels from an isometric top down perspective and try to kill people and take things. The controls are smooth, the levels are challenging yet fun, and—despite being a shooter—the game plays very much like a puzzler. Sure, reflexes are involved, but you’ll depend on them much less if you can figure out the right approach to each group of enemies (is it better to come in back through the window? try to toss a grenade inside? or lure the guards out with sounds and shoot them as they come through door?)
Yes, nothing is in english, but the controls are simple: arrow keys move, shift is shoot (or punch, if your gun isn’t out) z is reload (or throw grenade if your gun isn’t out) and x is switch between gun and fists. Punching crates breaks them, and punching items picks them up. Anything that flashes needs to be either used or blown up. You’ll figure it out.
Excellent design, not a single complaint. It’s free and small, try it out.
