Th_dp1avi 1 I...I just don't know anymore
Um..I’m not quite sure where to begin. I’ve been a fan of Mike Inel on DeviantArt for quite some time and marveled at his enthusiasm for animation; however, and while How’s fluid animation does impress, even I’m not quite sure what to think of this game; after reading some of Mike’s forum posts on the game (“It’s a simple game where you have to put as much balls as possible in the well for 5 minutes. Frankly, it’s pretty boring”), I’m not sure he does, either.

To begin, you play as a cutout girl in a skimpy one-piece top who must collect black balls for five minutes and either drop them down a well, or consume them “for stamina” – though I suppose “must” is a pretty strong word, considering one can stand around the entire time without visible consequence. The instructions are also quite a contradiction, given there is no visible health indicator, and nothing that can hurt you EXCEPT FOR CONSUMING THE BALLS. You can see her panties when she bends down and her breasts bounce when she carries them, however, so perhaps I’m missing the point.

In fact, I may be overlooking a greater meaning in the game, considering How is part of a series of minigames Mike has produced that follows the “which, where, why, how…” naming convention. Perhaps those are questions he should be asking of his own works; yet with numerous Internet boards touting the game as a narrative and artistic masterpiece, How is also the embodiment of a waste of time (specifically, five minutes) at its most gorgeously animated.
