Game Description

Imperishable Night (Japanese: "Touhou Eiyashou") is the eighth game in the Touhou series of manic shoot 'em ups. In the game, you pick between 4 teams, each comprised of a human character (controlled when unfocused) and a ghost (controlled during focused-fire mode). The two characters can have very different attacks, and certain enemies are more vulnerable to one character or the other.

This game is much like Perfect Cherry Blossom, with the exception of the two different firing modes harming different enemies differently (in some cases only one of the two will work), so in that respect it’s like the Treasure game Silhouette Mirage.

The polish and style of this game seem to have been improved quite a bit over Perfect Cherry Blossom, although it still has those cherry point pick-ups.

I also found easy mode to be fairly easy in comparison to the easy modes of the other games in the series: the easy mode is now actually easy.
