Game DescriptionKnytt Stories, features Juni, a character who shows up commonly in Knytt myths and stories. In the game, the player acts out these stories (also called levels or worlds) as Juni. The two stories that comes bundled with the game, "Tutorial - Learn How to Play Knytt Stories" and "The Machine - A Save-the-World Adventure," are fairly short, but the game comes with a full level editor and support for many extra levels in game, loaded from .knytt.bin files. |

I’ve had my eyes on Nifflas’ games for quite some time now. When Knytt Stories was finally released I was very excited. I’ll be honest and tell you that the game really blew me away.
Knytt Stories feels very much like a mix between Metroid/ICO/old Prince of Persia. Who knew that a mix between these games would flow together so well!
Exploring in Knytt Stories is always fun and interesting because every environment has a very partical atmosphere to it, you’ll always want to know what’s around the next corner.
The gameplay is very solid and fluid. Your character can pick up powerups as you explore more and more. These include your cliche double jumps, wall grabbing to name a few. But they all work extremely well and it’s always clear where you will need to go next.
The thing that really BLEW me away about Knytt Stories is the amount of extra downloadable levels. The Knytt Stories community is very big, so the sheer quality in downloadable levels is very good. Some levels even rival the ones created by Nifflas himself.
Installing these levels is very straightforward as you just drag drop zip files into the game’s window.
They are then subsequently categorised under easy to hard to freeroam.. etc.
Download this game now! And explore the near infinite amount of extra levels waiting for you! :]

I love Nifflas, as much it heterosexuality allows. It is funny how everybody was crazy about the original Knytt when it came out. It was a game without gameplay, but still, it is amongst the top ten in TigDB, even higher than my personal favourite, Within a Deep Forest. Well what would you think could come out when you take amazing game with no gameplay and add the gameplay.Knytt always was about exploring worlds. Knytt Stories kind of added challenge maps and all these things, but the main point of exploring world is still there. And god, it is a beautiful world. Nifflas connects his somehow minimalistic graphical style with amazing details as funny, cute, or just interesting animals in the Juni’s word.
I was stunned when I first played KS. My amazement lasted a long time, but eventually, it stopped. For me, Nifflas’ games are too magical to come in with editors, so that everybody can enhance the world. I played many fanmade levels and they’r really fun, but the magic of Juni’s story wasn’t there and I rather concentrated on another run trough WaDP =)
