Logo80 3 Clearly amateur but not bad
Mage Craft was the first Game Maker game I really finished, so I have some nostalgic attachment to it.

It’s a simple mix between top-down shooter and action RPG. You play as a mage fighting against evil empire (is there any good empire in the gaming world?), utilizing various spells to kill your enemies.

There’s also a mild character development component — you can raise few attributes and learn several spells.

The game clearly looks amateurish and for a reason – it’s one of the first Darthlupi’s games. The graphics are functional at best and the gameplay has few more or less annoying issues.

It plays surprizingly well and can get pretty addicting, but it’s entirely obvious that it’s a game from a starting game maker. If you don’t mind the amateur vibe, it is pretty fun.
