Happyk_tig 5 My favourite Kenta Cho game
I like pretty much all Kenta Cho games but I’m somewhat bored with the relatively straight shooters. Mu-cade is different. It’s a very challenging highscore hunt where you have to shoot/push enemies off a sort of square table while staying on it yourself. Every enemy you push off makes your tail grow, which is great at first, because it enables you to hold on to other objects. When the tail gets too long, though, it becomes a hindrance and can pull you off the platform because it’s difficult to judge it’s momentum. It’s then time to throw it off which gets you gain superpowers for a few seconds. You need to use these to get rid of large enemy waves quickly and gain a new tail so that you can’t be pushed off easily.

The game is a cycle of growing a tail and then throwing it away, with the last being the most risky and intensive phase. Even if you have got a tail of the right size, nicely wrapped around some heavy blocks, you still need to stay very concentrated and judge your momentum well all the time. At least for me, it’s very difficult to keep this up for a long time but this is where the fun is: You try again and again, getting a little more score all the time. It is a very fun simple highscore hunt game.

Visually its as awesome as all Kenta Cho games, maybe one of the most clean and beautiful.

I love this game!

This game is brilliant and trying to beat your highscore makes you come back again and again. The only bad thing about it is the lack of an online leaderboard but apart from that it is brilliant. Runs fast and looks great, whats stopping you from getting it?
