Game Description

Your grandfather, a renowned bird photographer and naturalist, has vanished and left you a shoebox containing a camera, a map, and a cryptic journal - treasures that send you on a cross-country trip searching for clues. As you unravel the mystery behind your grandfather's disappearance, you'll photograph a large variety of birds, common and rare, to help out friends and to collect in your field journal. Exceptional photographs may make the cover of a magazine!

Snapshot Adventures was developed in collaboration with experts at Cornell University. It features authentic-looking birds and animations, and realistic birdsongs, which can be unlocked through taking photos. The game also contains an extensive Bird Creator, which lets you design your own birds and share them with friends over the internet.

4317 5 A casual game, but still worth the money
When I first heard of this game, I was very skeptical. A simulation of bird photographer… Sounds like Moorhuhn without shooting.

Fact is, that this friendly game beats Moorhuhn by far.

There is one basic quality about Snapshot adventures – the friendly, almost home-warmth atmosphere. The pleasant music, serene nature, birds singing, everything works so well together that it makes you come back to this game again and again.

But it isn’t the only reason for my rating. The game is excellent in all ways – there is a decent rpg-like system of what birds you already took a snap of and how good is the shot and there even is a story with a unsolved mystery!

Investing 20 bucks into a game isn’t something you could do without at least some thinking. Snapshot Adventures aren’t for everyone, but if you think this is what you need, believe me, there is no better choice.
