A nice mix of action and tactics. You’ve got three members of your squad, and you have to go through a series of missions where you complete objectives and rescue hostages.

The game plays like a fairly standard top-down action game where you aim and shoot with the mouse. However, the twist is you can switch at any time between controlling one of your three squad members. The squad members have different abilities, and can also be equipped with a special item. The team-work element becomes more significant as the game progresses, as you’ll need a verity of special items to find easier paths through each level. C4 can blow up fences, while tools can open doors. You’ll have to switch between your team members to find the best way through each mission. Enemies can do a fair amount of damage, especially in numbers, so you’ll have to plan your route through each stage.

My only complaints are that the enemies lack path-finding, and will often get stuck on walls. Also, your squad mates don’t do anything when you don’t control them, which is understandable, but it would have been nice to have some sort of co-op mode. Also, the hostages move very slowly, which can be annoying when you’re trying to get them to follow you.

Other than that, this is quite a fun game. The pixel art is very nice and the music is excellent.
