Thankfully, the intelligent folks at Tales of Games churned out a rogue-like that is simplified enough for the rest of us and full of that bizarre sense of humor that made Barkley a hit vidcon. Although purists might find it dumbed down, the interface is a lot more friendly than most rogue-likes. The menus and humor make everything much more accessible. Otherwise, all the other Rogue-isms are intact… for better or for worse.
Overall, the game is worth a shot. The Tales of Games humor combined with surprisingly good graphics make the game worthwhile. The music, however, is hit or miss. But regardless, the game is short and sweet (and I don’t think it is randomly generated like most Rogues) and filled with enough replay value in being able to choose between all the members of the Wu Tang Clan to warrant a play through.
