Game DescriptionTranscendence is a 2d space-faring game inspired by games like Nethack and Star Control. The player begins the game in one of three ships with basic equipment, a few credits, and a near-empty cargo bay. The goal is to reach the galaxy's core, where the mysterious beings "Oracus" and "Domina" are rumored to reside. Like in many roguelike games, the star systems are randomized and death is permanent.

I had hours of fun with this game. You sort of have to get into it by learning the controls and messing around first, but once you’re past that this is a very fun game. Lots of different weapons and items, fun (although repetitive) quests and good old rogue-like exploration. Impressive.

Transcendence is a great blend of 2D space combat and RPG elements.Your ship becomes progressively more powerful as you upgrade your armor, shields and weapons and you can earn money from many sources such as selling loot and completing missions. Like many other roguelikes, virtually everything has a consequence and there are many hidden pitfalls. Each time you play through, solar systems are randomly generated along with enemies, loot and friendlies making the replay value very high. I recommend you also check my playthough of the game (incomplete at this time) http://www.youtube.com/view_play_list?p=C25E03612635EC65
