4317 5 Nifflas at his best
Within a Deep Forest. For me, this is the furthest point where any game can ever get in awesomeness. If I had just one game which I could rate with six stars, it would be WaDP. All Nifflas’ qualities are shown there at their best. Beautiful world, excellent ambient music, pleasant puzzles, which feel so good when you solve them and so much more. Mainly, it is the gameplay that takes all these qualities and shoots them in the stars at hyperspeed, because platformer (and that is what WaDP is) never felt so good to play. Thank you Nifflas, once I get rich and famous, I’ll donate you NASA’s best computer for development.

Jabberwock 5
This is an excellent game. It’s one of the most atmospheric pieces of work I’ve ever seen. I have very strong, strange positive associations with it, as well, because I happened to download and play it during an icestorm that brought Christmas Break a day early – fortunately, because I had a project that was due that I hadn’t finished. The heat in our house wasn’t working, either… it was a weird day, but this game made me feel great. I love Nifflas’ graphical style – I love the fireflies that flit about, the little animals, the dark sky, the strange, otherworldly locales. It’s a brilliant game. I also love the music, especially the piece that plays in the main world, and another one that I guess is called “Scales of Zordium”. Beautiful.

The gameplay is really the game’s only weakness, in my opinion. It is not bad at all, but the physics are difficult, and this makes it frustrating at times. It certainly doesn’t kill the experience. Definitely worth a play. Knytt is also equally good, if not slightly better.
