Philosophy: Will never dislike something because of subjective baggage. (That and anyone who rates a game without even playing it, is an asinine retard.) I try not to rate poorly for the simple reason that "If one person rates a new game poorly, that game instantly goes to the back of the bus; a potential gem to be buried in the dirt because one person's bias." Instead I ponder questions about the games I play. - Why did the creator make this game and can their emotions or frames of mind be seen in their works of art? - Is there a message being conveyed either through narrative or aesthetics? - do the mechanics work? Finally, as a viewer... - Is there something memorable from the game in which I can carry with me and reffer to as an experience?
